The continent of Unitas is a continent whose past has been bathed in blood. For generation after generation, the three species of humans have waged war on one another intending to purge all life but their own and rule the entire continent themselves. None of them knew that the Goddess Potentia had created the very continent they stood on, as a testament to her belief in unity. For when she created the land and introduced the humans to it, she believed that the humans would unite and work together to survive. Yet it was not to be, and the humans began to bicker and argue, which soon led to war and bloodshed. Angered by this Potentia scattered the humans to three different parts of the continent and erected mountains to keep them separated for as long as it took them to renounce the ways of violence.

During this time she gifted each of the three races with gifts and abilities creating three whole new races from humanity. The first, the Anima people, were given the ability to communicate, bond, and work with animals to survive in the rugged deserts and mountains they called home. From this bond came a half breed creation. Humans were born with animal abilities and bodies giving them enhanced strength, speed, and endurance. The society was constructed around a system of honor and glory where only the greatest of the species could be made King. This led to many clan wars and fights but soon peace was created among the Animites and a mighty dragon named Wildfire was made ruler. To the North-East was the land of the Psyonis people whose minds were blessed with powerful knowledge and power. Their psionic power allowed even the weakest physical human to move boulders and trees with ease.

Yet the Psyonis devoted their lives to knowledge and created a powerful futuristic society, bringing new technology and innovation to the continent of Unitas. Then finally, the Arcana, who were given themastery of magic. This ability of magic was taught from parent to child, and was passed down through generations of skills and practice, and unlike the glory seeking Kings of Anima, or the great minds of the Psyonian council, the Arcnana were ruled through a democracy of powerful wizards and witches who strove to keep their lands to themselves and to protect it from outside influences.
For 2000 years, a fragile peace was in order. The races had forgotten one another it seemed, and all was right in the world. This prompted Potentia to reintegrate the races together. With a mighty earthquake, mountains collapsed opening paths for the three different peoples to rejoin with one another and spread unity. Yet it was not to be…for the humans returned to their fighting and very nearly annihilated each other. Potentia was at her limit, she was at the point where she was tempted to obliterate the whole planet she had created, and wipe out all life on it.

Yet out of the ashes of war, came a hero. The hero, a man of unknown origins, claimed he had the abilities of all three species. He descended from a castle built in the middle of the continent clad in golden armor on the wings of an eagle that came from his back. His eyes glowed with psionic energy, as he demonstrated his power to the warring humans, by opening the very ground beneath their feet causing magma to burst to the surface. His hands then moved and manipulated the magma to his desire with his magic causing it to solidify into black rock which he threw into the air and detonated causing shards of obsidian rock to fall from the heavens. He then declared the wars over, and announced that he would usher in a new world order.

Many of the people flocked to this man’s cause and he soon had an army of his own loyal to him alone. The Hero then waged war against those would disrupt the peace and put down the warring leaders of the Anima, Psyonia, and Arcana. Upon his victory he named himself Emperor Unito the First and claimed that from now on, the world would be ruled through Unity. 2000 years have passed since that day…and yet the embers of war have not been extinguished. The mighty Unification Army simply does not have enough troops to protect both the Emperor’s lands and fight off warring rebels from the neighboring lands. To solve this crisis, the current leader Emperor Titus II has created a mercenary system. This system allows for the training and equipping of elite mercenaries that serve and are paid by the Emperor.

They take the missions that Unification Army can’t handle, and many youths flock to the recruitment centers, hoping to become famous freelancing mercenaries and bring money to themselves and their families. Gabriel Ames is one such child. At the young age of 12 his journey will begin and it will not only shape his future, but the very future of the continent itself. For on his journey he will discover a dark plot hiding and festering among the very lands he swears to protects, and final plan put in motion by Potentia to finally eliminate all of humanity should they stray from their path once more.
