It pisses me off...

Has anyone ever noticed that it always seems like artists get way more attention than writers do? I'm being serious, and yes I understand that there are GOOD artists out there my girlfriend is one of them. Yet honestly it seems like even if someone's art sucks they still get praise for it, while writers don't get any. I'm sorry but when I see this it boils down to this.

For an artist to get attention they have to have either some...SMALL amount of talent(Just enough for people to wish they could do it.) Or be really skilled. It's almost like you get respect for the whole range of art skill. From Poor all the way to DaVinci!

Writers on the other hand don't get ANY attention unless their work is something straight out of a legendary Novel or something. I'm sorry but we writers deserve our fair share too.

Example: My good friend he's a good artist. He's earned his keep and he gets a lot of attention, but he's been at it for a while and he really only does ONE type of artwork. (No offense man if you're reading this. I'm just saying you stick to your guns and that's good. XD) Yet he's proven that he's a good artist by good hard work and commitment.

Now...compare that to me, or my friend We've both worked our tails off in writing, yet we hardly get any attention for it. Okay HE does, but that's because he's way better than I am. Still though compared to AA we don't even come close. 

Yes...you could call this Jealousy, and yes you could say that it's very petty. Well dammit I don't care! It's true regardless! Good Writers almost seem to have work DOUBLE the amount of time artists do to get the same amount of followers, fans, stalkers, whatever you want to call them. So basically what I'm trying to say is try to freshen your views once in your life. Don't look at the same things over and over and over again from the same artist. Try something new! Open your eyes and look around at the world of creativity, because more than likely there is something out there that you'll love and another artist OR writer who wants to make it better for you.


TLDR: Give more attention to Writers, and stop pandering to Artists who do the same damn things over and over again.
